An Giang, July 2, 2025 – The groundbreaking ceremony for the onshore pipeline segment of the Block B – O Mon Gas Pipeline Project was held in Dong Thai Commune, An Bien District, An Giang Province. The event was jointly organized by the Southwest Pipeline Operating Company (SWPOC), a branch of the Vietnam National Industrial and Energy Group, in coordination with the contractor consortium of PTSC and LILAMA 18.
As part of the project, Chuong Duong Corporation (stock code: CDC) has been contracted to execute the construction and installation of more than 50 kilometers of gas pipeline, with a total contract value exceeding VND 269 billion.
Chuong Duong’s construction scope includes critical pipeline sections from An Minh LFP to LBV1, LBV5 to LBV6, LBV6 to O Mon, and interconnections from LBV1 through LBV2, LBV3, LBV4 to LBV5. These pipeline segments form an essential part of the project’s onshore infrastructure, which plays a vital role in the overall stability and efficiency of the Block B – O Mon gas transportation system.
A representative from Chuong Duong stated that participating in this national energy infrastructure project not only presents significant business opportunities but also reaffirms the company’s capabilities as a general contractor in the industrial and technical infrastructure sector. The project marks a pivotal step in the company’s strategy to diversify beyond its traditional core business of social housing development.
The Block B – O Mon Gas Pipeline Project is a strategic component of Vietnam’s national energy security agenda, aiming to supply natural gas to major thermal power centers in the Mekong Delta region, including the O Mon Power Center.
