On the morning of November 25, at the TTC25–TTC26 construction site (O Mon Ward, Can Tho City), the South-West Pipeline Operating Company (SWPOC), the PTSC – Lilama 18 Joint Venture (EPC Contractor), and the construction contractor Chuong Duong Corp. held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the onshore pipeline section from KP97+150 to KP97+600, part of the Block B – O Mon Gas Pipeline Project—a critical milestone ensuring synchronized progress across the Block B Gas-to-Power Project Chain.

The groundbreaking ceremony marks a major milestone for the Block B – O Mon Gas Pipeline Project, the midstream component of the nationally significant Block B Gas-to-Power Chain (O Mon). With an estimated total investment of approximately USD 12 billion, the project will supply stable gas feedstock to the power plants of the O Mon Power Center, with a total capacity of 3,800 MW, and is expected to receive the first gas flow in Q3 2027. The project plays an essential role in ensuring national energy security and promoting socio-economic development in the Mekong Delta region.
